In the 360°, the executive's leadership effectiveness is rated by peers, direct reports, manager, and self. Raters are provided the opportunity to add written comments. Individual responses are anonymous, facilitating greater disclosure. While the executive assessment identifies strengths and weaknesses of the individual, the 360° survey defines how that person impacts the organization. Combining them provides a multi-dimensional view of the individual's strengths and developmental opportunities. Further, because the 360° survey is behaviorally based, it describes leadership impact with profound clarity. For some key positions, organizations want to broaden depth and breadth of insights gained through the 360° process. One way to accomplish this is for the Batrus Hollweg consultant to interview some or all of those who complete surveys on the executive's behalf.
